Employment Opportunities at CMPA
The Center for Media and Public Affairs frequently is looking for talented, interested individuals to work part time as research assistants on our various projects. CMPA research projects typically focus on news media coverage of political events and public policy debates, however, some studies examine the content of popular culture and other media forms.
Must be thorough, neat and conscientious. Social science background is preferred. Some computer experience is necessary. Must be punctual and dependable since our projects must usually be completed within tight timelines. An interest in media issues can be an asset as can course work or prior experience in social science research.
Must be available at least 20 hours per week in our Washington office. Scheduling is flexible within a 9-5 Monday through Friday work week. Starting wages are $8.50/hr with increases following the successful completion of training.
