Philippa Collin, Child Welfare Officer

The Child Welfare Officer's role is to ensure that Child Protection concerns from the ASA are communicated to the committee and membership; to hold the ASA Child Protection guidelines and to ensure that the register of teachers and coaches is completed. The Welfare Officer is also the person that swimmers can discuss their swimming club problems with.

Pip Collin joined WDSC in 2001 as a Masters swimmer, returning to competetive swimming after a break of 18 years. Since then she has represented the club at county, national and international level (World Masters Swiiming Championships 2004), and won a few medals along the way!

Since her two daughters joined the club, Pip has become more actively involved, teaching some of the juniors and joining the committee. She has recently been appointed as Child Welfare Officer, and is available to discuss any concerns you may have with regard to issues such as bullying and poor behaviour.
